Course Objectives
|
This course is the second part of international finance course. This course develops the students understanding of the core decisions involved in international financial management. The student will examine the institutional and behavioral relationship between firms and international capital markets as well as the processes at working the financial transactions between firms and international financial markets. |
Learning Outcomes
|
The students who succeeded in this course;
- Discuss primary foreign currency derivatives used today in multinational financial management: foreign currency futures, foreign currency options.
- Discuss interest rate swaps, and cross currency interest rate swaps. Know the fundamentals of their valuation and their use for speculative purposes.
- Explains the principles of Multinational Corporation Financial Management, concepts and applications.
- Provides an integration between the fields of international finance and Multinational Corporate Financial Management
- Ensures the comprehension of contemporary risk and financing instruments such as forward, swap and futures.
- Explains the basic issues of measuring operating exposure and transaction exposure.
- Discuss how to manage foreign exchange exposure namely; transaction exposure, operating exposure and hedging.
- Explains how to measuring and managing economic exposure of multinational corporations.
- Explains international portfolio theory and the benefits of international diversification.

Course Description
|
The main objective is to explore the modern financial management areas of corporate finance in an international setting with emphasis on those features that are unique to multinational corporation. This will require a general understanding of the international economic and monetary environment, plus a solid understanding of the basic tools of financial analysis. |
