Our 2009 Graduate Has Been Appointed to the South Marmara Development Agency (GMKA) as the General Secretary
Who is Onur Adıyaman?
Born in Ankara in 1986, Onur Adıyaman completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Ankara. Then, he started his undergraduate education in 2004. Thus, he did a double major in Mathematics from Izmir University of Economics, Department of Economics. Afterwards, he graduated first in 2009. Continuing his doctorate education in the Department of Economics at Karadeniz Technical University, Adıyaman started his career in 2009 as an assistant inspector in the Inspection Board of a private bank. Onur Adıyaman, who served as the Head of Monitoring and Evaluation Unit at the Eastern Black Sea Development Agency in 2010, was appointed as the Head of Planning, Promotion and Coordination Unit as of 2013. In the same period, he also served as the General Coordinator of Investment Support Offices. In January 2020, he was appointed as the General Secretary of the Eastern Black Sea Development Agency, which he has been acting as a proxy since 2016. Onur Adıyaman, who was appointed to the South Marmara Development Agency in August 2023, speaks fluent English and intermediate French. He is married and has two children.
