9th Workshop of Association for Turkish Women in Maths Completed Successfully

The opening speeches of the workshop were made by our university's vice rector and head of the Mathematics department, Prof. Dr. Gözde Yazgı Tütüncü, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Prof. Dr. Neslihan Yetkiner and President of the Turkish Women Mathematicians Association Yeter Şahiner. Additionally, our department head made his presentation as an invited speaker. At the event; In addition to the faculty members of our university, academicians from various universities of our country (METU, Maramara, Ankara University, Çankaya University, İYTE, Dokuz Eylül University, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, Mimar Sinan GSÜ, etc.) made their presentations, which were followed with interest by the participants. During the coffee breaks, our 4th grade students from the Department of Mathematics and graduate students from various universities in our country made poster presentations. On the first day, participants met for a gala dinner. At the gala dinner, IZTECH Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Gamze Tanoğlu, Prof. Gözde Yazgı Tütüncü and Prof. Dr. Our teacher Münevver Tezer accompanied the participants of the workshop. On the last day of the event, the participants visited places such as Agora, Elevator, Kemeraltı and Izmir Clock Tower with the bus allocated by Izmir Women's Cooperatives, accompanied by our guide, who is also a mathematician. The national workshop lasted 3 days and we hosted 119 participants at our university.
