The international conference:
Ordered Statistical
Data: Approximations, Bounds and Characterizations will
be held in Izmir on 15-18 June, 2005. The meeting will
be devoted mostly to mathematical aspects of order statistics,
records and their generalizations. It is intended to
be the continuation of conferences organized in 2002,
2003 and 2004 in S. Banach International Mathematical
Center, Warsaw, Poland. At Izmir University of Economics
we are planning a wider meeting bringing together researchers
involved in the area from all over the world. Since
the field is quite specialized and the number of participants
for the main section is expected to be about 50, we
have also included separate sections for other topics
of statistical theory and inferences. We strongly encourage
you to share your interest and recent contributions
with others by active participation during the meeting,
in particular by presenting a talk.
Topics of the conference
are:
- Distribution
theory of ordered random variables, order statistics,
records, progressive Type II censored order statistics,
generalized order statistics etc.
- Models of ordered random variables from discrete distributions
- Order statistics in reliability theory
- Bounds and characterizations on order statistics and
records
- Recurrence relations for moments of order statistics,
records and their generalizations
- Characterization of distributions through the properties
of ordered random variables
- Concomitants of order statistics, records, progressive
censored Type II order statistics and generalized order
statistics
- Multivariate orderings
- Stochastic orderings, results on comparisons of ordered
statistical data
- Ordered statistical data in statistical inference
- Ordered random variables for finite populations
- Asymptotic theory of order statistics, records and
their generalizations
Etc.
Other Topics:
- Distribution
theory
- Dependence and aging properties of bivariate and multivariate
random variables
- Stochastic orderings
- Characterizations of probability distributions
- Limit theorems
- Linear models
- Statistical inference
- Stochastic models
- Robust statistics
Etc.
