How to reach?
There are several options to reach İzmir University of Economics from Adnan Menderes Airport (Airport Code: ADB).
Option 1: Get on HAVAŞ buses from the airport. The route of the bus is below:
Adnan Menderes Havalimanı-->Gaziemir--> Karabağlar--> Yeşildere--> Kahramanlar--> Basmane--> Çankaya--> Efes Oteli.Get off the bus at Efes Hotel, Alsancak. Then get on the bus 169 from a bus stop close to Efes Hotel. It makes you reach İzmir University of Economics.
Notes:
- The time table for Havaş busses from Adnan Menderes is not strict, depends on the arrivals of the planes. (Bus departs 20 minutes after arrival of a plane.)
- Havaş costs 10 liras per person.
- The ticket for the bus 169 can be bought from the driver.
- The ticket includes 2 or 3 or 5 credits. Please don’t throw away after the first usage.
- Total duration is approximately 1,5 hours.
Option 2: Get on IZBAN train from the airport. It takes you to Halkapınar bus-stop (The departure point of the bus 169).Then get on the bus 169. It makes you reach İzmir University of Economics. The time table for the İZBAN TRAIN is here:
Notes:
- Take the second column (H.ALANI) into consideration.
- The arrival point is H.PINAR and it takes about 30 minutes from the airport.
- The ticket for the bus 169 and the train is the same and it can be bought from the buffets in the airport or from the train station.
- The ticket includes 2 or 3 or 5 credits. Please don’t throw away after the first usage.
Option 3: Get on the bus 202 from the airport. The route of the bus is below:
HAVAALANI--> G.EMİR TANSAŞ-->SERBEST BÖLGE--> ÇEŞME OTOYOLU--> F.ALTAY (ÜÇKUYULAR) --> M. KEMAL SAHİL BULVARI--> KONAK--> CUMHURİYET BULVARI--> VASIF ÇINAR--> LOZAN MONTRÖ--> S.NEVRES BULVARI--> EFES OTELİGet off the bus at F. Altay (Üçkuyular). It is convenient to hire a taxi at Üçkuyular to İzmir University of Economics. It costs approximately 10 liras.
Notes:
- The bus 202 departs from the airport hourly.
Option 4: Hire a taxi from the airport.
Notes:
- It is the shortest option.
- The distance is about 20 km.s if you follow the peripheral highway and it costs about 50 liras.
